This class is for women only and provides a safe and fun community within which to explore body, mind and spirit, through yoga. All levels of experience are welcome here. I will show you enough variations of the postures so that you may find your own “seat”, or asana, for each pose. We can also explore ways to modify poses so they work with any injuries or physical issues you may have. Classes differ from one to the next, yet provide enough repetition and detail that, over time, you’ll become familiar with the poses and their Sanskrit names.
We are a caring community of women who support one another in our lives. We also have a lot of fun!
On the third Thursday of each month, we practice Yin Yoga. In this style, we hold passive stretches for extended periods of time, during which we read, listen to music, or whatever else strikes our fancy in the moment. Yin Yoga addresses the connective tissue between muscle and bone, and creates lasting effects on the body. It’s a perfect balance to our more active yoga practices, and the activity we do in the rest of our lives.
